Day 8 - Ecuador - Jose Eguiguren
Bredda
Hacienda Santa Gertrudis has been in the Eguiguren family for over 100 years and is located in a lush location just minutes away from Vilcabamba. Luis Emilio Eguiguren Burneo planted the first coffee trees in Hacienda Santa Gertrudis and began commercializing the product in the surrounding marketplaces. Since then, his grandson José has introduced innovation in improving the quality of the bean and the post-harvest processing.
Today José Eguiguren has carried on the farm's legacy by dedicating their efforts to research and technology to bring you some of Loja's best quality coffee.
This Anaerobic Sidra demonstrates José's progressive efforts in research and technology, in selecting and producing the best varietals along with innovative processing techniques to create this unique flavour profile. It tastes like you’re drinking a tropical fruit punch, with strawberry acidity and a sweet finish like banoffee pie.
